Description Technical Specs Package Contents

The CINEbox is a 'Matte Box' device used in still photography and video. It connects to the end of a lens to block the sun or other light sources in order to prevent glare and lens flare. The CINEbox 4x4" Matte Box features two 360° Rotating Filter Stages, a robust Swing Away Hinge System with adjustable end stops, Vertical Adjustment, Interchangeable Mattes and Top & Side Flags.

What is the Swing Away?
The Swing Away is a convenient method of moving the CINEbox out of the way, giving better access to change your lenses. The Swing Away utilises a robust hinge system with adjustable end stops to ensure that the CINEbox remains perpendicular to your lens in the ‘closed’ position.

What are Connection Kits?
To achieve maximum compatibility with the vast choice and types of lenses, we offer different 'Connection Kits' for the CINEbox. These Connection Kits determine how the lens physically attaches to the CINEbox. The CINEbox ships with the Rubber Bellows as standard and is suitable for lenses that have the front barrel move or rotate when racking focus. If your lenses have a fixed front barrel, the Hard Mount Connection Kit with Interchangeable Donuts can add extra stability.

This product has been designed, machined and assembled in the United Kingdom and is part of the Shoot35 product range.

Important Information:
• Rubber Bellows fits lenses with 80mm diameter front barrel or our 'Lens Attachment Rings. Use Hard Mount & 114mm Donut for Zeiss CP2's.
• Lens Attachment Rings can be purchased here
• Widest Lens : 24mm @ 36x24mm sensor size (Canon 5D).
• The 4x4" Filter Trays that come with the CINEbox are designed to hold standard 4x4" (101.6x101.6mm, by 4mm thickness) filters but can also hold the smaller non standard 100x100x2mm filters, and anything in between.

Worth every penny...and more! October 14, 2015
Reviewer: Marco Eisenbarth from Darmstadt, Hessen Germany
I recently purchased a couple of Shoot35 products and I can say nothing but good about all of them. Not to forget about the really outstanding service and how nicely I have been treated as a customer.

Now the mattebox comes packed with everything you need to have a fully functional unit. It is light but very robust and all screws are nice and tight, everything is perfectly in place. It has a really high end look and feel to it. I absolutely love the swing mechanism that allows easy lense changing within seconds.

If I had to point out one negative then I'd say that the height adjustment is a little bit tricky, since you have to use an allan key. I would have wished for a thumb screw. But that really only is a minor negative.

I am a fan of well crafted tools. Tools that feel nice, tools that feel like they are worth the money. This is exactly what I got when I unpacked my Shoot35 Gear!
